Breed Record at Lairg

A new breed record for the North Country Cheviot Hill type rams was set at Lairg on Monday 3rd October 2022, £28000 was bid for Attonburn Bonnie Lad a son of the Sorbietress Viscount ram which was purchased at Lockerbie for £2200 in half shares with Hartside Hill in 2018.
By a homebred ewe Attonburn Bonnie Lad topped the pen for Bob & Becca Rennie & was taken home in a half way split between WD Douglas, Whitehope & W Dunlop & Son, Commonside.
The team from Attonburn went on to sell a further 5 rams on the day to a tremendous average of £9350 for the 6.
