Dingwall Show & Sale 2022

The Annual Show & Sale of North Country Cheviot Hill Rams was held at Dingwall & Highl;and Marts on Friday 21st October 2022, with another huge entry of rams forward the judge - Sarah-Jane Forbes, Dalrachie was faced with a difficult task but settled with her Champion from the Starthcanaird pen of Farquhar Renwick, Inverbroom B 03855, a two shear by Keppoch King Kong was later purchased by DI Rock Farming, Hethpool for the first big price of the day - £5000.
Reserve Champion was also a two shear, this time from JM Elliot, Woodside - sired by Inkstack Vodka Shot, Woodside Bacardi was taken home by McCaig Farms, McCaig for £3200.
Topping the sale & breaking the previous centre record, Allanshaws Ben Nevis from J Runciman & Son sired by homebred ram Allanshaws Amen out of an Inkstack VIP ewe joins the Inverbroom flock of Scott & Farquhar Renwick & Kintail floc of Graham MacRae jointly.
Scott Renwick sold the next highest price at £6000 for Inverbroom Bulldozer a son of Inverbroom Thor he heads south to W & J Thomson, Hownam Grange.
Leading the aged rams was a four shear from Hugh & Jan Mackenzie, Langdale - Inkstack Warlord sired by Inkstack VIP sold for £4000.
