Clitheroe Show & Sale 2026
The Annual Show & Sale of North Country Cheviot Tups and Females at Clitheroe Auction Mart took place on Sunday 4th October 2026, with young breeder Jack Webster, Rivendale, travelling from Derbyshire to take on the judging duties.
Park Type Tups
Beginning with the Park Type Tups, Jack selected his Champion from a strong entry forward in the form of Nun Cote Nook Good Boy, exhibited by Keith Stones, Nun Cote Nook. Sired by Knockcocher Dynamite, he later sold for £1,155.
Taking the Reserve rosette was an outstanding three-shear from Melfyn Williams, Synton. Synton Elmo's Fire, a son of Kinaldy Architect, went on to claim the day's top price and a new centre record of £2,940, when purchased by Flloyd Lewis, Brynowen.
Park Type Females
Champion in the Park Type Females once again went to Keith Stones, this time with a superb gimmer shearling, also sired by Knockcocher Dynamite. She went on to achieve the top female price of the day at £1,000, selling to Dick Cruse, Penare.
The Reserve ticket was awarded to a classy ewe lamb from the Hill Top flock of Tom and Keith Bell.
Hill Type Tups
The Hill Type section saw a strong entry, with the two-shear class producing both the Champion and Reserve.
Taking the Champion rosettes was Greenbank Farm Future, a son of Stouphill A 19402, exhibited by Tom Iredale. He later topped the Hill section at £1,785.
Reserve went to Lakeland Fantastic, exhibited by Jim Campbell and sired by Attonburn Xcaliber.
