Kelso Show & Sale 2026
A small entry of North Country Cheviot tups at Kelso met with strong demand, resulting in a 96% clearance.
The pre-sale show returned on Thursday evening, with judging in the capable hands of Mary Stones, Nun Cote Nook. She found her Champion in the well-known Allanshaws pen of Rodrick, Lewis & Libby Runciman. Allanshaws Google, sired by Gilston Don Carlo realised the days 2nd top price of £2600 when sold.
The Reserve Champion, Allanshaws G Force, sired by Pengroes Exchange, went on to achieve the day’s top price of an impressive £6,000 and joins the Achalone flock of Allan Grant. The same home sold one to £2000, Allanshaws GTI, this time sired by Greendale Eagle Eye.
Gilston Gunner, sired by Broomhillbank Doddie topped the Gilson pen of Graham Dun at £1000.
A strong result from a small entry, demonstrating continued demand for quality North Country Cheviot tups.
