Monmouthshire Annual Show & Sale – 28th August 2026

The Annual Show & Sale of North Country Cheviots took place on Friday 28th August 2026 at Monmouthshire Livestock Centre, Raglan.

This well-established sale continues to attract sheep from throughout Wales and the bordering counties, offering buyers an excellent choice of all ages of females and a smaller selection of tups.

With quality sheep presented across both the Park and Hill sections, judges Tomos Williams, Murfon (Park) and Alun Bennett, Plasucha (Hill) had their work cut out selecting their respective champions.

Park Section

The Park Champion was awarded to a tremendous gimmer from R & A Howell, Lundy. Sired by BB Do Some Damage, she went on to sell for an impressive £1,050.

Reserve Champion Park was another superb gimmer, standing second in her class, from F Lewis, Brynowen. Sired by Allanshaws Elite, she realised £577 when sold.

Hill Section

In the Hill section, Champion was awarded to a lovely one-crop ewe from C King, Rowleys. Sired by Attonburn Cesar and out of a Carcant ewe, she went on to make £294.

Reserve Champion went to a sweet gimmer from AT & PR Jones, Clytha flock, sired by Whitehope A 26838, reaching £262 in the sale.

A strong display of North Country Cheviot quality across both sections made for an excellent day at Raglan, with buyers presented with a good selection of well-bred sheep.
