Royal Welsh Show 2024 - Hill Results

The Hill type were once again succesful in the Any Other Pure Native Breed classes at the Royal Welsh Show, never an easy task for any judge to have so many differnt breeds to chose from but the Northies held their own amongst them all.

Tomos Ellis, Hiraethog flock was awarded Male Champion and Reserve Overall for his shearling tup sired by Ousdale A 14044, he was pipped to the post for the top honours by the Devon Closewool Gimmer who was Overall & Female Champion on the day. Reserve Female Champion also went to a Hill North Country Cheviot, this time from M Williams, Pengroes for his Aged Ewe, who also stood first place in the group of three.

With tickets in every class, including 2nd- 6th in the Shearling Gimmers and 1st - 4th in the aged Ewes for North Country Cheviots.
