Royal Highland Show 2025 - Hill Results

Hill Section Judging Highlights

On Thursday afternoon, the Hill section was judged under the beautiful sunshine, providing spectators with a stunning display of exceptional livestock. Following the morning's park judging, the top honor was awarded to a breeder from Caithness.

This year, the Hill section was judged by Borders breeder Pete Tweedie from Buchtrig, who selected his Overall Champion from a homebred gimmer belonging to Andrew Campbell's Mill House flock, sired by Mill House Courageous.

  • Reserve Overall Champion and Male Champion: Awarded to Norman & David Douglas from Whitehope for their homebred shearling tup, Whitehope Firestar which was sired by Whitehope Dark Knight, who sold for £28,000 at Lockerbie in 2024.

  • Reserve Female Champion: Also claimed by the same home, featuring a homebred two-crop ewe sired by Badanloch Va Va Voom.

  • Reserve Male Champion: This title went to the first prize aged tup from JF Irving, Benger, known as Badnaloch Destroyer, sired by Stouphill B 22568, purchased from Lairg for £11,000 in 2024.
