Results from the Balmoral Show 2026

The North Country Cheviot classes, held on Thursday 14th May, were judged by well-known Northern Ireland breeder Desmond Robinson of the Glen flock.

Champion & Reserve Winners:

• The Champion Female & Overall title was awarded to an outstanding Shearling Gimmer from Benrafton Flock exhibited by Alfred & Norman Robinson. The homebred gimmer, sired by Benrafton Evel Knievel went on to secure the Overall Championship title before also claiming Reserve Longwool Interbreed honours.
• Male Champion & Reserve Overall was also the Benrafton flock, a stylish homebred Shearling Tup bred the same way as the Overall Champion.
• Reserve Female Champion completed the top awards for the same good home, with a homebred Benrafton ewe sired by Allanshaws Xanthus.
• Reserve Male Champion was awarded to a Two Shear Tup, Sandleford Foreman sired by Jethart Dagger, brought out by J & K Rowan, Ballintogher.

A fantastic turnout of stock was brought forward, a credit to all who exhibited.
